BitDevs Ibadan is inspired by the original BitDevs NYC to help grow a community in Ibadan of those interested in discussing and participating in the research and development of Bitcoin and related protocols and software. You can be well versed in or new to the topics, all are welcome. Be advised: discussion will occasionally be technical.

Socratic Seminars

Our monthly Socratic Seminar events are formatted to foster debate, information sharing and lively discussion. In the weeks before each event, members collect discussion topics from a variety of sources: pull requests in popular repositories (Bitcoin Core, Core Lightning, LND, LDK, BDK and others), mailing list posts, research papers, technical blog posts and more.

A page is posted on this site before each meetup listing the discussion topics, and it stays here afterwards as an archive. The discussion itself is never recorded. A firm grasp of the basics of Bitcoin will help you get the most out of our seminars.

Suggest a topic or present

Contact the organizers if you'd like to present at a future seminar or have a topic to suggest, or open an issue on our GitHub repository. Check our list of where to find topics for ideas.
